Eddie Oliver

Guitar TeacherEd has over twenty years of experience in guitar playing and has been teaching for the past seven years. Ed started playing guitar aged nine and has been playing professionally in bands and as a sessional musician ever since.

A regular on the midlands pub and club circuit, he has been in various bands playing both covers and original material, including the Van Halen tribute band "Gentleman of Leisure".

As well as playing and recording Ed has also worked as local road crew for artists such as Judas Priest, Motorhead and Thin Lizzy. Eddie teaches Acoustic, Electric and Bass guitar. In addition to this he also teaches the Ukelele & Banjo.

Ed has a full appreciation of all the varying musical styles associated with the guitar and can tailor lessons to specific styles if required, including rock, metal, blues, jazz, folk, indie, funk, classical and fingerpicking. This experience and a wide appreciation of all musical styles, combined with qualifications for both playing and music theory allow Eddie to offer the best possible guidance to his pupils.

Ed’s technical ability is of the highest standard, he is therefore able to teach all methods of guitar notation including tablature and score.
