Joe Egan

Guitar Teacher A recent graduate from Leeds College of Music, Joe is a young guitarist with a wealth of teaching and performing experience. With a natural desire to share the passion and knowledge that he has acquired, Joe brings to all of his work an active performing career.

Joe performs regularly on the Nottingham and Leeds scenes and runs a number of bands, including jazz/funk ensemble Jiallo and his own experimental project Eshek. This has lead to Joe performing regularly at festivals including Dot to Dot, Y Not and Splendour. Joe has also performed professionally in many well known Musicals including ‘Bugsy Malone’ and ‘Little Shop of Horrors'.

Having studied on the Jazz course at Leeds College of music, Joe is able to teach improvisation and jazz tradition to a the highest level. He also has a depth of knowledge of theory and composition in both a Classical & Jazz study background. Also his own work in rock and pop bands, writing and performing original music, is a skill which Joe's students benefit from on their learning journey.

All of Joe’s teaching is based around the needs and aspirations of his students. Whether you are learning guitar, bass or ukulele his lessons will be built around you, enabling each student to discover a greater depth of musical experience
